6 Months...A Little Late

I think I start most posts out this way but it is hard to believe how fast time is going. Peyton is almost 7 months old! The little man is growing and changing so fast. It has definitely been a month of firsts for Peyton.

Here are this month's firsts:

-eating "food". he is eating oatmeal, veggies and fruits. He favors veggies and is not a big fan of fruits. His favorites are green beans and squash. He also likes to "snack" on Baby Mum Mums.

-using a sippy cup- he loves water and chewing on the spout.

-teeth- after a month of thinking that they were "right there", they finally showed up. Peyton's bottom two teeth popped through two days apart.

-rolling- he has been rolling from his stomach to back and the other way around but this month he really started to ROLL to get places. If he sees a toy that he wants but it is out of his reach, he will roll and roll until he can get it.

-scooting- he is also scooting backwards to get places. Just the other day he started getting up on his knees. Watch out World...he's comin' to get you!

-sitting up- he is not very stable but every once in a while he can sit up and play for a couple of minutes. He loves being upright and seeing what's around.

-sickness- the last 6-8 weeks have been rough for the whole family. Peyton woke up one morning and his breathing sounded a little "junky" so I took him to the doctor. Unknown to us, he had TWO ear infections and some wheezing. We never would have known that he had ear infections b/c he never was fussy or cranky! Needless to say, it's been over a month and after two more trips to the doctor and a trip to the ER in a hurricane, he is on another round of antibiotics and two different breathing treatments twice a day! Poor dude.

-giggles- he loves it when you talk to him in silly voices or when you tickle him. You can't help but giggle when he does!

Great Pap-Pap

Sitting up to play with my toys!
See, I told you he has been a busy boy! He has also been growing. He weighed in at 19lbs (75th %) and 27 3/4 inches (95th%).  He is still just as happy as can be and such a delight to be around. His smile lights up the room!
